LNG India Summit 2025 opens today in New Delhi

New Delhi, 24th September 2025: Dedicated to its pivotal theme – “Unleashing LNG Growth Drivers: Open Policy | Infrastructure | CGDs | Transport | Industrial Sectors” the 9th edition of LNG India Summit has opened its doors today at Shangri-La Eros Hotel in New Delhi with Chief Guest Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia highlighting how LNG can serve as a strategic bridge fuel driving India’s sustainable growth and energy diversification.
The two-day summit organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt Ltd, successfully engaged in discussing the pivotal elements accelerating LNG adoption across India, focusing on its role as a cleaner fuel for the future. The government aims to increase the share of natural gas in India’s energy mix to 15% by 2030, up from the current 6%.
Positioned as a ‘bridge fuel,’ LNG plays a dynamic role in the country’s energy needs to achieve decarbonisation by replacing coal and enabling India’s transition to renewable energy with very low emissions. The summit has set the stage for two days of strategic dialogue on the future of energy and sustainable mobility.
